1. Overview

This Cookie Policy explains what cookies and similar technologies are, which ones we use on the SecurityBot website and dashboard (the "Site"), why we use them, and how you can control them.

We deliberately use as few cookies as possible. This policy is intended to be read alongside our Privacy Policy. Capitalized terms defined in the Privacy Policy or the Terms of Service have the same meaning here.

2. What Are Cookies

Cookies are small text files that your browser stores on your device (computer, phone, or tablet) when you visit a website. They help a website remember your actions and preferences over time. Similar technologies include local storage and browser caches.

  • Session cookies — expire when you close your browser or when your session ends.
  • Persistent cookies — remain on your device for a set period of time.
  • First-party cookies — set directly by the Site itself.
  • Third-party cookies — set by external domains (for example, providers we integrate with).

3. Cookies and Technologies We Use

The Site uses a minimal number of cookies and browser storage technologies:

We do not use cookies for profiling, remarketing, or cross-site tracking, and we never sell your data. Advertising/tracking scripts are only activated after you give explicit consent and can be refused at any time.

4. Consent and Your Choices

When you first visit the Site, a cookie-consent banner appears. You can choose:

  • "Accept all" — you consent to advertising/tracking scripts being loaded while you browse the Site.
  • "Only necessary" — only strictly necessary cookies (such as the session cookie) are used, and no advertising/tracking scripts load.

Consent is freely given and can be withdrawn at any time. To change your choice, clear the securitybot_consent cookie in your browser (the banner will be shown again), or delete the cookies set by this Site entirely. Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing based on consent before its withdrawal.

5. Third-Party Services

Some features of the Site rely on third-party services that may set their own cookies or process technical identifiers, governed by their own policies:

  • Discord Inc. — OAuth login and Discord platform features; see Discord's Privacy Policy.
  • Stripe — payment processing for Premium purchases; see Stripe's Privacy Policy.
  • Google Fonts / Font Awesome CDN — fonts and icons loaded from public CDNs; these use standard network requests.
  • acscdn.com — advertising/tag script, loaded only with your consent as described above.
  • Cloudflare / hosting providers — reverse proxy and delivery infrastructure, which may set strictly necessary security cookies.

6. Managing Cookies in Your Browser

You can control and delete cookies through your browser settings. In most browsers you can:

  • view cookies set by a website and delete individual cookies;
  • block third-party cookies;
  • block all cookies (be aware that the dashboard login will no longer work); and
  • set the browser to warn you before a cookie is stored.

How to do this depends on your browser. Consult the help menu of your browser or visit aboutcookies.org for general guidance.

Deleting the session cookie will log you out of the dashboard. Because session cookies are strictly necessary, they are exempt from consent requirements under the ePrivacy Directive.

7. Changes to This Cookie Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date shown at the top of this page reflects the latest version. Continued use of the Site after any change constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
